Tested trucks, logged miles
AutoMototrke exists because truck marketing is a horsepower contest and truck ownership is a fifteen-year cost equation. We are the independent research desk for serious buyers — people who tow for a living, commute in a workhorse, or are about to spend more on a truck than their first house cost. Since 2014, our instrumented testing and ownership data have informed 3.8 million monthly readers.
Our testing is physical, not reprinted: an instrumented dynamometer, a 14-acre proving ground for towing and braking runs, and payload measurements taken with our own scales. But the heart of the operation is the Long-Term Truck Index — continuous telemetry from 1,247 owner-subscribed trucks averaging 38,000 miles logged per vehicle, reporting what breaks, what burns, and what holds its value.
What we publish
- Instrumented reviews: dyno curves, 0–60 and braking data, real towing tests — not launch-control theater.
- The Long-Term Truck Index: reliability and cost-of-ownership data from subscriber trucks, updated monthly.
- Side-by-side comparison tools: trim by trim, axle by axle, with the spec sheet reconciled against reality.
Our readers include tradespeople choosing between gas and diesel, fleet managers standardizing purchases, and first-time buyers trying to understand what 'max towing' actually requires. Manufacturers send press trucks; we buy our own long-termers, because a review you don't pay for is a review you can't fully trust.
Independence, in writing
No manufacturer sees a review before publication, no score is negotiable, and every data table lists its test conditions. AutoMototrke is truck research for people who use trucks: tested, logged, and honest since 2014 — because the truck you live with deserves better than a brochure.
